This pillbox is a common 1940 type 22, and is situated high up in the hedge at the edge of the Common, overlooking the road junction. It is polygonal in shape, constructed of concrete, and faced with brick inside and out.

Full description

Pill box.
Polygonal, concrete faced with brick inside and out. Roof supported on iron mesh plates. Unusual small loophole beside doorway. Overlooking road junction but now overgrown. First located by Pillbox Survey.
