According to the Ordnance Survey this is the site of the livestock fairs held in Shouldham twice annually. In 1982 items of post medieval metalwork were allegedly found here, but these in fact came from either NHER 18101 or 18880.

Presumably site of livestock fairs held here twice annually. Town was known as Market Shouldham (S1).
