1980. Metal detecting on an arable field.
Groat of Henry VI (North 1427) minted in Calais.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM), 22 October 1980.

Same date and location. Metal detecting. Found about 20cm (8 inches) deep.
Roman bronze flask, perhaps for perfume.

Vessel not Roman, reidentified by T. Pestell (NCM) as a medieval oil vessel from travelling chrismatory.
