Record Details

NHER Number:16146
Type of record:Monument
Name:Trackway, moat or enclosure of possible medieval date

Summary

Cropmarks of a linear feature running northwest to southeast and crossing the modern road can be seen on aerial photography. This feature is partly paralleled by another linear cropmark, suggested as a possible trackway. To the south, there is a faint rectangular mark, suggested as a moat. Between them are a number of linear marks, probably evidence of modern agricultural activity. Thorough metal detecting on the site has recovered no evidence of occupation.
