Summary

Fieldwalking in 1980 recovered Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery fragments. A large quantity of undated but probably post medieval bricks forming a rectangle, noted in 1996, are thought to be the remains of a garden wall.

Full description

February 1980. Fieldwalking. Southwest corner of field. Found on surface.
Nine post medieval body sherds, three stoneware sherds.
Three Thetford Ware rims, one with rouletting.
Thirteen medieval sherds.

Many bricks forming a rectangle about 15.25m by 12.2m (50 feet by 40 feet), possibly site of walled garden. Old name The Pound.
