Summary

Metal- detecting and fieldwalking between 2000 and 2014 recovered Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds; medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and undated and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated metalworking debris; a Late Saxon finger ring; medieval dress accessories, an ampulla, balance, part of a cauldron and a weight and a post-medieval keyhole escutcheon plate from a piece of furniture.

Full description

January 1980. Found on small area of raised ground. Ground only slightly raised. See Notes.
Large number of pottery wasters including Saxo-Norman ware with applied thumb impressed decoration, cooking pots etc.
