1980s. Fieldwalking.
Fieldwalking in advance of Norwich Southern Bypass (Field 77; Context 1):
2 undatable prehistoric flint scrapers.
1 Mesolithic flint blade core and 1 crested flake.
14 Roman pottery sherds (including greyware, oxidised and ?East Anglian mortarium).
1 Late Saxon pottery sherd (Thetford-type ware).
1 Late Saxon/medieval pottery sherd (?Stamford ware).
11 medieval pottery sherds (including glazed, glazed Grimston and unglazed).
2 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds (LMT).
