Summary

A row of 16th or 17th century timber-framed and jettied cottages. The cottages are rendered and originally had thatched roofs. The cottage at the northern end of the row has exposed timbering and was built seperately to the rest of the cottages.

Full description

Row of cottages directly opposite Swan Lane (including Reads Greengrocers and Grimbles).
Jettied buildings; timber framed; plastered over at south end of row. At north end, of separate build, a slightly jettied cottage with exposed timbering. Chimneys and roofs renewed and were thatched until recent years. Probably 16th century.
