July 1979. Pillbox. South side New Cut.
Polygonal, concrete, formerly clad in brick of which only a portion remains.

The World War Two type 22 pillbox is visible on aerial photographs (S2). This structure is located within an area of barbed wire defences, which enclose and protect the river crossings, see NHER 43670 for details.
