Summary

In 1979 medieval pottery sherds, a post medieval horse shoe, a sherd of Roman coarse grey body sherd and a fragment of a Mayen (Niedermendig) lava quern were recovered from the surface of the field.

Full description

April 1979. Field opposite North Farm (Dairy Farm on S1). On ploughed surface.
Twelve medieval sherds, horseshoe with six nail holes and groove (could be post medieval).
One Roman coarse grey body sherd and fragment of Mayen (Niedermendig) lava.
