Summary

Roman flue tile, fragments of pottery dating from the Late Saxon to the post medieval periods, medieval brick, a medieval quern and a medieval casket mount have been found by fieldwalking and metal detecting. The post-Roman material may relate to the site of Leziate shrunken village (see too NHER 3409).

2004-2008. Fieldwalking
Ceramic Roman tessera, Middle Saxon pottery sherds, medieval roof tile and brick and medieval/post medieval brick recovered. Undatable floor tile, whetstone, quern and metalworking debris also found.
