Summary

During 1980-82 a selection of Roman, Saxon and medieval pottery sherds were recovered from here. More recently, in 2005-06, a couple of further pottery sherds have been found on site and these included a fragment of a Saxon storage jar.

Body sherd of coarse Late Saxon Thetford-type with scar of applied strip, probably storage jar (weighing 15g).
