An Early Saxon cremation urn containing burnt bone was found around 1875. The exact location of this discovery is unclear. This may be the same as NHER 1612.

Early Saxon urn dug up by Reverend Ogle who noted in memorandum book that it contained burnt bones.
Preserved at Sedgeford vicarage in 1903.
Is it possible that this is the real origin of NHER 1612?
