Summary

A rare type of a concrete World War Two pillbox to the south of the former railway. The pillbox is associated with another pillbox, NHER 32418, on the other side of the railway. Aerial photographs taken in 1945 show the two pillboxes within a barbed wire enclosure, NHER 27855.

Pill box.
Concrete, unusual double rectangular shape.

Good condition. Stands in grazed field. Slight danger of erosion from cattle poaching.

Unlike pillbox NHER 32418, to the immediate west, this structure lies to the south of the former railway line. The barbed wire defences associated with this pillbox are now recorded as NHER 27855.
