23 February 1977. Visit.
Memorial stone.
Inscribed 'Stratton Robert John Marsham 1838.'
This marks the spot where the named gentleman was thrown from his horse and killed in jumping a ditch. Now lying on its side. Originally about 1.2m (4 feet) high and slightly tapering.
