Record Details

NHER Number:11417
Type of record:Monument
Name:Possible Bronze Age ring ditch or World War Two feature

Summary

A ring ditch of unknown date is seen as a cropmark on aerial photographs. The possible ring ditch has previously been suggested to be the remains of a Bronze Age burial mound, however it is only visible on one set of aerial photographs and at a time of year not usually susceptible to cropmarks. It is therefore possible this feature may relate to the surrounding Second World War Training camp (NHER 63082) and could be the product of the training activities or a former emplacement.
