Name:Possible medieval ironworking site and possible pottery kiln, and multi-period pottery sherds

Summary

In 1975 an area containing medieval iron smelting debris and domestic refuse was recorded here. Subsequent fieldwalking at the site in 1984 produced numerous pottery wasters that suggested clamp kilns might have been situated at this location. Sherds of Roman and Late Saxon pottery were recovered as well as medieval ones.
