Summary

An L-shaped pond on this site may represent the eastern and northern arms of a moat. A largish pond to the west may be a fragment of the western arm, whilst a shallow depression south of the nearby 16th century farmhouse may represent the remains of the southern arm.

Possible moat, area described as Upper Vaunce's Farm.
E. Rose (NAU).

Moat described by OS map, although no record of a field visit. An L-shaped pond may represent east and north arms of a moat. A largish pond to the west may be a fragment of the west arm, whilst a shallow depression south of the 16th century farmhouse may represent remains of south arm.
