Full description
Moat (by church) (Ordnance Survey card says not a moat).
E. Rose (NAU)
Despite the Ordnance Survey card and the proximity of two other moats, the E-shaped plan of the pond does suggest half of a two compartment moat. Seen only in passing from footpath across garden 4 October 1998, but is still waterfilled.
E. Rose (NAU) 5 October 1998.
North, west and east arms survive, waterfilled, with a 'ividing arm' extending south from centre. Maximum 5 to 6m wide. Position of south arm noted as depression in grass. Owner says moat was dredged 8 years ago.
H. Paterson (A&E), 21 June 1999.
March 2012. Norfolk NMP.
The remains of this moated site were visible on aerial photographs assessed as part of the NMP mapping, but as no detail additional to that provided by the modern Ordnance Survey mapping was identified, no mapping was undertaken of the site.
S. Horlock (NMP), 07 March 2012.
