Summary

A linear feature, a rectangular enclosure, other enclosures and an area of dark and pale soils are visible on aerial photographs. The dark and light soils may correspond with a possible kiln site that has been identified on the ground (NHER 24414). Roman material discovered on the site may provide a date for the enclosures and dark and light soils.

THE CROPMARKS RECORDED UNDER THIS NUMBER WERE FORMERLY PART OF CONTEXT 2, NHER 24414.

NAU aerial photographs.
Linear feature running through the area of Roman sherds (see NHER 24414).
Pale amorphous patch in a darker area which may well coincide with the kiln site at NHER 24414.

Show a large rectangular enclosure around site, with smaller enclosures within, cut by modern road.
