Full description
Subject to BPN June 2005, giving protection as if grade II.
Formerly in Wymondham parish, hamlet of Wattlefield, and known as Black Hall.
Timber framed house of unusual type. Three cell lobby entrance plan but instead of service rooms there is one large room with moulded beam and unglazed windows; upper floor of main section seems to have been one large room. Parlour cell ornate.
Date probably about 1610 but not impossible an older core remains. Extra pile added in early 19th century when main roof replaced and small extensions added.
