Full description
1946. 366m (400 yards) southeast of Modney Bridge, Sam's drain.
Axe hammer dug up 22cm (8 1/2 inches) long, with cutting edge 8cm (3 1/8 inches) across; hole 3cm (1 3/8 inches) diameter. Butt end 10cm (4 inches) across polished at cutting edge. Petrology N32 dolerite. Geological Survey enquiry 1869.
