Full description
July 1999. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
Revealed a post-medieval gully and undated postholes and a pit. Both the gully and the pit contained iron smithing residues, indicating industrial activity on the site. Residual medieval pottery and a single prehistoric sherd were also recovered.
