Full description

May 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of possible ridge and furrow or a similar agricultural practice are visible on aerial photographs on a former area of heath, now Bodham Wood, High Kelling. The site is centred on TG 1094 4037 and the area measures approximately 130m square. A series of quite narrow parallel ridges are visible on the heath, which appear to be overlain by World War Two weapons pits (NHER 38645). A post medieval date seems most likely for these features.
S. Massey (NMP), 28 May 2004.
