Summary

Fieldwalking by the RSPB Explorers recovered a Mesolithic or Early Neolithic blade-like flint flake, a number of other prehistoric worked flints and pottery dating from the Roman to the post medieval period. This work took place in the northeast part of the field that also contains the Little Carbrooke earthworks (NHER 17893) and church (NHER 8792).

Before 20 November 2003. Fieldwalking in 46m (50 yards) square in northeast corner of field.
Mesolithic/Early Neolithic blade-like flake and undatable prehistoric worked flints, including two retouched flakes.
Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds.
