A Late Bronze Age axehead, a Roman brooch, and part of a Roman figurine, Roman coins, part of an Early Saxon buckle, a Middle or Late Saxon disc brooch decorated with the head of a saint, a Late Saxon bridle cheek piece, and medieval and post medieval metalwork including part of a medieval horse harness and a post medieval coin wieght, and pottery dating from the Iron Age to the post medieval period, found by metal detecting.

Full description

October 2001. Metal detecting.
Undatable copper alloy large lump of casting cake, curving V sectioned, relatively smooth long sides one of which is vesicular, short side broken with striations, originally part large ?circular or oval shaped lump.
74 x 54 x 20mm thick. Weight 250g, 8.87oz.
