Metal detecting recovered part of a Middle Bronze Age socketed copper alloy axehead. The internal construction of the axehead is unusual.

Part of Bronze Age socketed axe (S1) with odd construction internally. Both cutting edge and mount missing.  suggests this may be an early example and dates to 1200 to 1000 BC, ie Middle Bronze Age.
