Summary
During building work a complete Early Saxon cruciform brooch was found. The brooch has the remains of its corroded pin in the catch plate, indicating that the brooch was closed when it was placed in the ground. This could suggest that it comes from a burial.

Around 1985. Stray find.
Object reported to Swaffham Museum.
Complete florid cruciform brooch found during building work. Traces of iron pin within catchplate indicates that the brooch was buried with the pin closed and suggests an inhumation burial.
