Summary

Sporadic metal-detecting in 1998 and 2019 recovered Iron Age, Early Saxon, Late Saxon/medieval and medieval pottery sherds; Iron Age, Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and a token and undated, Bronze Age to Roman, and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated metalworking debris; a Bronze Age awl fragment and Middle Bronze Age chisel; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches, a hair pin and a vessel escutcheon shaped as the head of the god Jupiter; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval coin weight, furniture fitting, harness mount, key, pendant, seal matrix, harness pendant, annular brooch, and book clasp; a medieval/post-medieval button, mount, candle holder, and a post-medieval die stamp, hooked suspension mount and part of a knife.

Bronze Age fragment of a possible awl.
Roman copper alloy vessel escutcheon in the form of a head of Jupiter or Neptune (S3).
Medieval horse harness pendant, foot of a copper alloy vessel, and a strap end.
