Full description
May 1966. Stray Find.
Found by roadside by [1]:
1 Palaeolithic chipped flint "cleaver".
This discovery was reported in (S1) and the object itself donated to the King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1966.37). Information from (S2).
This object was examined by J. J. Wymer and described on (S3) as a pointed handaxe (15cm long), in sharp condition. It is suggested in (S4) that it may have been cast up by drain digging. This find is also listed in (S5) and (S6), although no additional information is given.

Called a 'polished axe' on (S7) but apparently the same find. Correct grid reference obtained.

Site visited by J. J. Wymer. On slight rise above flood plain of tributary of the Nar almost at 100' [30.5m] O.D. Slight rise to valley on south-east side.
