A ring ditch, probably dating to the Bronze Age is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs. Prehistoric pot boilers and flint scrapers were found in 1961.

1959.
Ring ditch as soilmark in arable field.
Possible barrow.

1961.
[1] noted flint scrapers and potboilers on site.

No sign of barrow in ploughed field.

R. R. Clarke's (NCM) marking on (S1) in fact shows two ring ditches one north of the other. The northern one appears on (S2), but southern mark on (S2) is very rough and probably not a ring ditch.
