Full description

Tumulus on west side of road from Flitcham to Shernbourne.
1 mile from the turn on the road.
Anciently the moothill of Freebridge Hundred.
See (S1).
R. R. Clarke.

On (S2) R. R. Clarke marked NHER 3540 as the moothill.

(S3) says the Moothill of Freebridge was a tumulus within a square ditch, later moved to Gaywood Oak, then to Fitton Oak at Wiggenhall St Germans.
(S4) says Flitcham Burgh is Paston Clump, now planted with trees, ditches, little altered.
(S5) 'quadrate area et Iceni conclusa fossa Malloborgum'.
