The metal finds include undatable casting waste; Roman brooches, a cosmetic mortar, possible neck ring fragment and military buckle pin; a Roman to post-medieval unidentified object; an Early Saxon brooch; a Middle/Late Saxon silver strap-end; a Late Saxon bridle cheekpiece; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval dagger scabbard chape, spindle whorl, possible book fitting, spoon knop and seal matrices, including one depicting a lion and a tree; medieval/post-medieval thimbles, a copper alloy knife cap, a book clasp and a copper alloy vessel fragment and post-medieval harness mounts, a rotary key, hooked tag, cloth seal, book fitting, sword belt hanger suspension plate and musket ball or sweet mould.
