Summary

Earthworks from a deserted medieval settlement survive close to Summer End Farm. They include enclosures and a possible hollow way which may have been associated with the farm. A piece of medieval pottery has been found at the site.

Full description

January 1997. Earthwork Survey.
A series of enclosures and truncated linear features indicates closes between Summer End Common and a fragment of hollow way, possibly all associated with Summer End Farm.
Pottery: 1 unglazed medieval body sherd. Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
