Summary

Fieldwalking and metal detecting in this area from 1995 onwards has recovered a variety of objects. Finds included an Iron Age horse harness pendant or fitting, a Late Saxon possible Thor's hammer pendant, part of a medieval knife and two fragments from a lava quern stone. In addition, Roman coins and sherds of Iron Age, Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery have been retrieved.

January 1995. Fieldwalking. Location [1].
One Iron Age sherd.
One Late Saxon Thetford.
Five gritty medieval sherds (one base), sixteen unglazed medieval and Green Glazed Grimston handle.
Four late medieval/transistional sherds (one base).
One iron glazed sherd post medieval.
Two Mayan lava fragments, probably medieval.
