Metal-detecting between 1995 and 2016 recovered Iron Age, Roman and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and tokens and undated, Middle Bronze Age, Roman, Early Saxon and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated casting waste; the tip of a Middle Bronze Age spearhead; a Roman brooch, figurine, hair pin, lock, hanging bowl escutcheon and steelyard weight; Early Saxon mount; a Late Saxon finger ring and part of a stirrup; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval harness fittings, a spindle whorl, swivel from a leash, finger ring, seal matrix, brooch, scale-tang knife end-cap, casket key and lock hasp from the lid of a box or casket; a medieval/post-medieval rumbler bell, furniture fitting, copper alloy ring, barrel padlock, copper alloy vessel fragments, candlestick and the end-cap from a scale-tang knife and a post-medieval shield-shaped plaque, hinge plate from a box or casket, scissors fragment, cloth seal, spoon, harness mount and mourning ring.

1995. Metal detected finds. [1].
Five 4th century coins.
One James I farthing token.
See list in file. Identified by J. Davies (NCM) 17 June 1995.
13th century casket or harness mount, pierced lobed terminals.
Medieval buckle with semi-circular plate with scalloped edge, and very finely stamped tendrils ornament in centre. Two domed rivets flank this decoration. Central pierced hole for rivet. D-shaped buckle has pin-rest in form of animal head.
Post-medieval shield-shaped plaque from chest or carriage etc.
