Full description

Summer 1994. In river on Norfolk side just north of Beccles Bridge.
Two groups of piles 2.1 to 2.4m (7 to 8 feet) apart. Each group consists of three closely set piles, rectangular in section about 9cm (3 1/2 inches) x 25cm (10 inches), thereby forming a near square about 27cm (10 1/2 inches) x 25cm (10 inches). A wooden bridge is said to have been built here in 1296.
