Summary

A possible Roman settlement site. Objects recovered during fieldwalking and metal-detecting include a Mesolithic blade, Neolithic polished axeheads, various undatable prehistoric worked flints, an Iron Age coin, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery and Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval metalwork. The quantity and types of Roman finds suggest the presence of settlement during the period.
