Name:Site of Iron Age and Roman settlement and multi-period finds

Summary

The amount of Iron Age pottery, an Iron Age coin, and Roman coins, pottery, building material and other metalwork found by metal-detecting and fieldwalking suggest that this site was a settlement during the Iron Age and the Roman periods. Early Neolithic and Bronze Age flint implements, an Early Saxon brooch, Late Saxon metalwork, and medieval and post-medieval pottery, coins and metalwork have also been found on the site. A fragment of Romano-British puddingstone quern was recovered as a stray find while metal-detecting in 2011.
