Summary

Metal detecting between 1992 and 2017 has recovered a wide range of finds dating from the prehistoric to the post medieval period. These include prehistoric flint flakes, a possible Roman coin blank, a 7th century bar mount, a Middle Saxon backward turning animal brooch, two pieces of the same Late Saxon mount and a medieval or post medieval belt mount. Fragments of Iron Age, Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery were also found. Roman, medieval and post medieval coins were recovered. Undated metalworking waste was recorded.
