1839. Excavation.
'Two beads and an Roman coin found when digging a tumulus near Downham'.
See (S1).
E. B. Green (KLM).
'Coin of Constantine and two small glass beads found on Downham Heath'.
See (S2).
(S3) assumes this is Downham in Wymondham Outsoken. E. B. Green (KLM) suggests Downham Market. No record exists for any similar find from these parishes, and no 'Heath' found in either place. Did the 'Heath' slip in as an error? Could there be any confusion with Santon Downham, Suffolk?
