Summary
A folly tower in the grounds of Crimplesham Hall (NHER 2457), dating to about 1881. It contains an underground boathouse. The structure incorporates quantities of reused medieval stone and part of it may actually be the remains of a medieval building associated with an earlier manor.

Full description
1998. Visit.
Folly tower, by the same hand as the Hall (2457) and therefore presumably of 1881 when park laid out, rather than 1840 as stated in (S2). High quality and containing large quantities of medieval masonry, arches, carvings etcetera from elsewhere. Includes underground boathouse.
Attached on south is a roofless building with apparently genuine medieval brick arch, which may be a medieval building perhaps associated with the manor house.
