Full description

Late 19th century smock drainage windmill, extended and converted into a residence in the 1930s.

Octagonal three storeys. Stands on octagonal weatherboarded house of one storey, sloping weatherboarded sides rise to boatshaped cap. Stocks, sails and fantail blades. All of this exterior is entirely false and late 20th century. Original structure remains in interior. Cap, frame and centring wheels intact, brackwheel; upright shaft and turbine pump missing. Included for rarity value as smock mill.
