This was the site of a settlement during the Iron Age. Field walking has recovered prehistoric flints, pottery dating from the Iron Age to the post medieval periods, and a copper alloy medieval cauldron.

March 1985. Field Ordnance Survey Great Fransham 260. Field walking in varying conditions.
Medieval sherds including Grimston and copper alloy cauldron rim.
Iron Age sherds.
Worked flints.
Roman sherds, Grimston Thetford ware.
Post medieval sherds.
