Summary

A medieval lava millstone was dredged up from the River Stiffkey. Lots of flint was found on the banks at this spot. It is suggested this might be the site of the mill recorded in the Domesday Book in the parish of Great Snoring.

1969. Dredged up from River Stiffkey.
Fragment of Neidermendig lava millstone. ?Site of Domesday Book mill. Lot of flints in places on bank in several places.
