Full description
30 September 1955. Stray Find.
South of east end of Long Plantation. On new housing estate at depth of 2 feet [60cm] in sandy loam pocket in chalk rubble:
Complete pottery jar found buried inverted. Broken by pick but repaired. Nothing else found. Handmade. Probably Iron Age from slightly dished flat base.
