Full description

Only open trestle mill with scoop wheel remaining in Britain. Built pre 1930. Has weather boarded cap and sails. Under restoration by Windmills Trust. Cap seen at Norfolk Show 1983.

Listing Description:
Trestle draining mill. Late C19, restored 1983. Timber. 4 cant posts stand on brick piers and rise to cap frame braced by cross members. Weatherboarded cap and fantail with all machinery. Windshaft projects but no stocks and sails. This mill drove a scoopwheel (currently under restoration) and is unique as only trestle mill to do so.
