Summary
An Iron Age gold alloy torc terminal was probably found in this ploughed field in 1947 although NHER 28517 has been suggested as an alternative findspot. The ring-shaped terminal is decorated in a similar style to the torcs recovered at Snettisham (NHER1487). The terminal was probably made in the 1st century BC or AD. Metal detecting close to the site of the discovery recovered Roman coins and pieces of Iron Age pot.
