Summary

Metal detecting has recovered a large number of Roman coins and other metal finds. Fieldwalking has found Roman pottery and possible fire bar fragments from pottery kilns. The amount of material suggests this was the site of a Roman settlement. Prehistoric, Saxon and medieval finds were also recovered.
