Name:Multi-period finds and undated ditches

Summary

Cropmarks of undated linear and curvilinear ditches can be seen on aerial photographs. A wide range of objects dating from the Bronze Age to post medieval period have been found by a metal detectorist. These include coins and pottery dating from the Roman, medieval and post medieval periods including a penny of Stephen. Fragments of a Bronze Age rapier, an Early Saxon pendant, an Early Saxon brooch, an Early Saxon mount, a 9th century buckle and a 10th century Viking horse and rider brooch were also found.
